As we start a New Year at My Latino Voice, and a new decade in America, we know 2010 will be a pivotal year for our communities, as Americans and as Latinos/Hispanics.  It is the year of the Census, and we expect our demographics to represent an even great slice of the American pie. Thus, the conversation of what "Latino" means to all of us, as American Latinos, will continue to ignite passion and pride...and invite debate.

We start the year with a stellar American Latina, and MLV Featured Voice, CNN's Rose Arce, who was the executive producer of the "Latino in America" series hosted by Soledad O'Brien.  Here is Rose's insightful perspective on what it means to be an "American Latino:"
