There was a bidding war between the six major studios, with it coming down to Fox and Paramount. Since Fox already has Rodriguez under the covers with Predators, they decided to keep him in bed when he wanted a larger backend gross percentage and Paramount said no to the deal. Miramax didn't want the movie, even though they're supposedly making "Spy Kids 4" with Robert, so it looks as if Machete will be handled by Fox. Question is, will it be any good? |
